Christmas Traditions Both New and Old

Hey All! Even though Carrie already posted about Christmas, I thought I'd come back and add my two-cents worth-!
I love Christmas. I love the brisk weather, the food (who doesn't?) and all the family time! This was our second year at our new house and it really started to feel like home-all the decorations and traditions. Some of my favorite Christmas traditions involve some sort of food. :-D I love our Christmas wreath and sausage balls that we have every Christmas Eve, and I love sitting around the Christmas tree, drinking hot chocolate, marshmallows and candy canes. And of course there's the 17 billion different types of cookies that we could make~peanut butter and kisses, cream cheese dainties, sugar-the list goes on and on. One of our Christmas morning traditions is to open the gifts from Santa from youngest to oldest. . .which means that I can be waiting with my sack of presents for an hour or so watching my 5 younger siblings open and gloat over their presents. . .talk about excruciating~!!!! This year we (Carrie and I) started another tradition-one that we hope to do until we don't need to do scoliosis exercises anymore. We finagled the equipment in front of the TV and rented some movies-! Charlie St. Cloud was a tear jerker and True Grit looks like it's gonna be really good too!!! I want to get some pictures up, but we have been having some technical difficulties. . . I'll be sure and add them when I can!
Off to be with the family~

Merry Christmas!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Is it not fun seeing everyone's eyes full of excitement on Christmas morning? I love it that on every other day we're dragging my other siblings out of bed to wake up, but on Christmas morning everyone's up at 6:00. :)

I think the most funny moment on Christmas day for me, was giving my brother, Bentley (9), his gift. I had given him legos, a toy "gun" and he was giving me a hug, saying "Thanks." Well, you see, I forgot to give him one last gift in my hand - a sports air horn. While he was giving me a hug I pushed down hard on the air horn button and made him jump a foot in the air! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! ;)

Christmas Creations

Hey! Just wanted to say I hope you all have a great Christmas Adam! What?? You've never heard of it?? Well, after all, Adam came before Eve, so it was only fitting that today was Christmas Adam! ;)
Maybe one day it will become a national holiday...

A Scoliosis Christmas

Here's a cheesy little poem for you:

A ScolioSIS Christmas:

It's fun to see the weather change, the Christmas cooking in action, Christmas carols being sung throughout the house, while my mom divvy's up the fudge into fractions. :)
In her bedroom, my six year-old sister, Chloe, desperately wishes for snow, then over in the kitchen, stuffing cookies in his mouth, is my one year-old brother Beau.
Nine year-old Bentley and Dad are outside playing with Lucy, I think the cold air is making them just a little bit goosey!
Christine would be reading in the sun room, clinging to Nancy Drew with much care, and poor Caitlin and I, without asking why, go vibrating in the Scoliosis Chair!
Down in the basement, without TOO much reminding, we faithfully do our tasks morning and night. I couldn't imagine doing this without Caitlin... we sisters here are pretty tight!
This is the first December in which we've had scoliosis, but it doesn't at all dampen our excitement for Jesus' Birthday-Christmas!! :)

So now I can post....it's just laborious and takes an insane amount of time.....hopefully I'll get it figured out, but for now-this will have to do! Just thought I'd let y'all know!
